I am so sad to hear of Mr Georges passing. I have never forgotten his classes, and am forever grateful to him for the joy I have had from music, listening with a slightly more educated ear, and therefore greater appreciation thanks to his passion I remember Mr George very well from my days at Kings, in the 60's. He gave me my love of all things musical. He taught me to read music (although my playing skills were rudimentary to say the least), and to appreciate a wide variety of genres, from 60's heavy metal, to Hawkwind, Folk and a lot of classical music too, including opera.
